Set of rotors for Bornemann MPC320
Rotors are the fundamental pumping elements of an MPC 320 screw pump. They transport the oil/gas/water mixture from the inlet to the outlet side. They are sealed around the circumference by the housing insert (liner), forming closed chambers in the screws. The rotors are subject to normal wear and tear, especially when conveying abrasive materials (e.g. sand). Our set of rotors for Bornemann MPC320 consists of 2 shafts, 4 conveyor screws, 4 clamping nuts and small parts. They are fully compliant with specifications, tension-free, assembled and balanced. The design of our rotors allows for a balance quality of G2.5 in accordance with DIN ISO 21940 (formerly DIN 1940), thereby minimising stress during operation.
All shafts are made of high-quality 1.4542 and the design has been optimised to prevent shaft breakage, even under extreme loads.
The feed screws are clamped onto the shafts using clamping nuts. This design, also known as ‘engineered rotors’, allows the use of materials other than the shaft material. The following materials are used here, among others: bronze / GGG40 / 1.4057 / 1.4542 / 1.4462
In addition, materials 1.4057 and 1.4542 allow wear protection coatings such as tungsten carbide or so-called ‘multilayer protection’, the latter with hardnesses of up to 2000 hv.
